About Monster Blaster
Monster Blaster is a cartoon arcade game where a little wizard guards a garden fence at night. Silly monsters walk out of the graveyard towards it, and children hold a finger (or the mouse) where they want to shoot. Zombies shuffle, bats zigzag, slimes split in two, ghosts fade so shots pass through them, skeletons rush and big pumpkin giants take lots of hits. Beaten monsters pop into goo, stars and comic words, never anything gory.
There are no levels: the monsters come in waves, each with more of them, and every fifth wave the Zombie King marches in and calls more zombies. Beaten monsters sometimes drop bubbles with power-ups to save and use whenever you like: a triple shot, a laser beam, rockets, chain lightning, turbo fire, a freeze, a shield for the fence, a bomb and extra hearts. The score is how many monsters you beat, and the best scores go on a leaderboard.
How to play Monster Blaster
- Tap Play. The first wave of monsters starts walking towards your fence.
- Hold your finger or the mouse button where you want to shoot, and slide it to aim. On a keyboard, aim with the arrow keys and hold Space.
- Stop every monster before it reaches the fence, or you lose a heart. Pumpkin giants break two, and the Zombie King three.
- Shoot the floating bubbles, or let them reach you, to grab weapons and power-ups. They wait beside the wizard until you tap them.
- When the last heart is gone, the game ends. Your score is the number of monsters you beat.

- Hand-eye coordinationAiming at moving monsters and following them with a finger.
- Quick decisionsChoosing which monster to stop first before it reaches the fence.
- FocusKeeping track of many monsters, bubbles and power-ups at once.
- PersistenceLasting one more wave and beating your best score.

Levels and difficulty
There are no levels: the waves just keep coming. Wave 1 is a handful of slow zombies, and each wave adds more monsters and new kinds: bats from wave 2, slimes from 3, ghosts from 4, skeletons from 6 and pumpkin giants from 7. Every fifth wave the Zombie King comes, tougher each time; beating him makes your blaster faster and clearing his wave gives an extra heart.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Stop the monsters closest to the fence first: the far ones can wait.
- Wait for ghosts to come back before shooting at them.
- Save your power-ups for busy moments: a laser or lightning clears a crowd fast.
Monster Blaster questions
Is Monster Blaster scary or violent?
No. The monsters are goofy cartoons with googly eyes, and beaten ones pop into goo, stars and words like POW!. There's no blood and nothing realistic.
How does the leaderboard work?
With a free Wizzymoon account, the number of monsters beaten in a game is saved by itself, and your best one goes on the leaderboard.
What do the power-ups do?
Triple shot fires three shots at once, straight ahead and to each side, the laser goes through every monster in a line, rockets explode, lightning jumps between monsters, Turbo shoots twice as fast, Freeze almost stops the monsters, the Shield guards the fence, the Bomb clears the screen and a heart is an extra life.
