About Number Dash
Number Dash is a running game about comparing numbers. Your runner carries a number that starts at 1, and rows of numbers come down the road towards it. Run into a number that's the same as yours or smaller and you eat it, and a fifth of it is added to your number, so you grow bit by bit. Run into a bigger one and you crash.
The trick is to pick the biggest number you can eat in each row, without picking one that's too big. Your number soon reaches the hundreds, thousands and millions, so the numbers on the road get bigger and closer to yours, and the road slowly speeds up. Shields save you from one crash, a slow-down gives you time to think, and big numbers unlock new runners.

Levels and difficulty
With 3 lanes the numbers you can eat glow green and the bigger ones are red and spiky, which suits younger children. With 4 and 5 lanes there are no colours to help, so players have to read the numbers, and 5 lanes has more numbers and a faster road. The road speeds up a little as you go, and it changes from a meadow to candy land, a desert, snowy hills and a moon road. Each number of lanes has its own leaderboard and best score.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Start with 3 lanes: the colours show which numbers are safe while children get used to the game.
- Talk about why 1,200 is bigger than 999 even though it starts with a smaller digit.
- Point out that a bigger snack makes your number grow faster, so it pays to read the whole row.
Number Dash questions
Is Number Dash educational?
Yes. It's all about comparing numbers quickly, from single digits up to millions, and it shows adding in action as each number eaten joins your own.
What happens when the numbers get really big?
Past a million, numbers are shown as millions (M) or billions (B), and every number on the road is rounded the same way, so comparing what you see is always right.
Is Number Dash free?
Yes. Number Dash is completely free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Do I need to download Number Dash?
No. It plays right in the web browser on phones, tablets and computers. You can also add it to your home screen like an app.
Does my child need an account?
No. Anyone can play straight away. A free Wizzymoon account is optional: it saves progress across devices and puts scores on leaderboards.
Is Number Dash safe for children?
Yes. There are no ads, no chat and no links to other sites. Other players only see a username on a leaderboard, and friends added with a secret code can also see when you're online.
