About Wizzy Towers
Wizzy Towers is a friendly tower defence game. Goblins, orcs, wolves, bats and trolls march out of a cave and along a long zigzag path to your castle, and children stop them by building towers on the stone spots beside the path. Each tower shoots by itself, so the thinking is all in where to build, what to build and when to upgrade.
There are ten kinds of tower, unlocked as the waves go on: archers, cannons, frost, a gold mine, poison, fire, lightning, a catapult, a ballista and a wizard. Some can hit flying bats and dragons and some can't, iron orcs shrug off arrows but not magic, and shamans heal their friends. Beaten creatures drop gold, every wave adds a bonus, and towers can be upgraded to three stars or sold.
How to play Wizzy Towers
- Tap Play, then tap a stone spot next to the path.
- Pick a tower to see what it does and how far it reaches, then tap it again to build it.
- Tap Start wave. The creatures walk along the path, and your towers shoot at them by themselves.
- Spend the gold you earn on more towers, or tap a tower to upgrade it to two or three stars.
- Every creature that reaches the castle takes a heart. When the hearts run out, the game is over.

Levels and difficulty
There are no levels: the waves keep coming, each with more and tougher creatures. Goblins and orcs come first, then wolves from wave 3, flying bats from 4, armoured iron orcs from 6, healing shamans from 7 and trolls from 9. Every tenth wave brings an ogre, and from wave 15 dragons fly in. New towers unlock on waves 2 to 8, and the speed button runs the game at 2 or 3 times the speed.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Build near the bends in the path: a tower there can reach two stretches of it.
- Put frost towers just before cannons, so slowed creatures bunch up for the blast.
- Build at least one archer, lightning, ballista or wizard tower before the bats arrive on wave 4.
