About Shape Detective
Shape Detective is a quick logic game: every puzzle has one piece missing, and children pick the right one from six choices. It has four kinds of puzzle: a jigsaw picture with a hole, a shape sorter, a pattern to continue, and a 3 × 3 grid with a hidden rule.
Play the classic 60-second round to beat your best score, or Timeless mode with no clock at all. Mistakes never take points away, and on Easy a wrong pick is simply crossed out so your child can try again.
How to play Shape Detective
- Look at the puzzle and find the gap marked ?.
- Six pieces appear underneath. Tap the one that belongs in the gap.
- Each right answer is a point, and the piece pops into place.
- Choose the puzzle type, mode and difficulty with the settings tile.

Levels and difficulty
Easy uses clearly different pieces and lets you try again. Medium adds tricks like the right piece turned upside down or a different size, and Hard uses turned shapes, look-alikes and sudoku-style grids. Mix mode picks a different puzzle every round.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Ask "How did you know?" after a right answer: explaining the rule builds reasoning.
- Timeless mode is great for younger children who don't like a clock.
