About Wizzy Potions
Wizzy Potions is a potion shop game about fractions and colour mixing. Each customer brings a recipe, like a half of red and a half of yellow, and you press and hold the bottles to pour into a jar marked in halves, quarters, thirds or eighths. Pour just the right amount and serve it.
A good potion works magic: a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, a frog into a prince and an egg hatches into a chick. Pour too much and the jar fizzes over in a bubbly mess. Later levels mix three colours, add white to make colours lighter and finish with mystery potions that only show the colour. In the free mixing lab, children mix whatever they like to find 28 secret colours for their colour book.
How to play Wizzy Potions
- Tap Play and pick a level.
- Read the recipe: each colour and how much of the jar it fills.
- Press and hold a bottle to pour, and let go at the right line on the jar.
- Pour the next colour on top, up to the next line.
- Tap Serve! and watch the magic.

Levels and difficulty
There are 20 levels with three potions each. They start with one colour up to the halfway line, then two colours in halves, then quarters, thirds, white for lighter colours, three colours together, potions that only fill part of the jar, halves and quarters together, and eighths. Levels 11 and 12 are mystery potions that only show the colour, and after two tries the recipe appears. Then come 8 harder levels: sixths, eighths mixed with halves and quarters, four colours in one potion, part-filled jars and trickier mystery colours. Get every potion right first time for 3 stars.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Ask what colour the potion will be before pouring, then check.
- Talk about why 2/4 reaches the same line as 1/2.
- In the lab, try mixing all three colours and see what happens.
